Kawasaki Z300 is the newest member of the Kawasaki naked family. It shares Ninja 300 twin-cylinder engine and is built for A2 license riders.
The engine makes 39 horsepower @11.000 rpm and 27 Nm Torque. The new Kawasaki Z300 has a 170 kg wet weight and the fuel tank has 17 liters.
Kawasaki Z300 shares the same design lines as its older brothers, the Z800 (especially) and Z1000. It also has the same dual throttle valves and a lightweight ABS – 775 grams, 60% smaller than the old system. Kawasaki says this is the most compact ABS in the world. The 290 mm front brake disc and the 220 mm rear brake disc should stop the bike properly.
Another visual elements are the 10 spoke wheels (Ninja ZX-14R style), the 140 mm rear wheel, the LED backlight and the LCD dashboard.
It will go on sale next year in two color version. The price will be similar to Ninja 300, maybe a bit lower.
Kawasaki also presented at EICMA two other small displacement motorcycles: Ninja 250SL and Z250SL.
