Triumph is working on a new version of its big adventure bike – Tiger Explorer 1200. The photo was taken last week during some tests near Barcelona, Spain. The revised Tiger was tested alongside BMW R 1200 GS and the current model.
The new Tiger Explorer will have a different look, another fork and different wheels, among other details.
The bike spotted on Barcelona streets had different brakes than the current model. The calipers have Brembo signature and are radial-mounted which should give better braking performance. The fork is also new and the wheels feel lighter.
The screen is different, having the same size but a different shape, and the beak is more sporty. Also, you can spot a new front subframe and another dashboard, as the photographer suggests.
There are also some information that Triumph Tiger Explorer 2016 will have an electronic suspension adjustment system taken from the big tourer Triumph Trophy. The photo was shut during a test alongside a BMW R 1200 GSA fitted with Electronic Suspension Adjustment. According to the photographer, the pilot was also testing the throttle response which can suggest different engine maps.
