Suzuki GSX-S1000, the streetfighter launched last autumn, could be capable of 145.000 hp at 9.5000 rpm, according to some information appeared „by mistake“ on Suzuki website.
The word was spread by the German Magazine Mototrrad. One of their readers observed for a couple of minutes some info about GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F on a Suzuki official website. The information referred to the new motorcycle’s power: 145 hp.
We don’t know if it’s just a PR stunt or a just a false figure, but it shouldn’t be far away from the reality. Suzuki GSX-S1000 is equipped with the GSX-R 1000 K7 engine (2005 – 2008). Back then, it was capable of 185 hp, but according to the new emission regulations and with a street bike setup, the 145 hp maximum power is normal.
So, the new Suzuki Streetfighter will be a rival to Kawasaki Z1000 (142 cp) and will probably have the same price (around 11.000 euros).
Suzuki GSX-S1000 has two different versions: a streetfighter and a faired streetfighter. It also has traction control (three levels) and GSX-R Brembo brakes. The ABS is an option.
