The famous Harley-Davidson FLSTC 103 Heritage Softail Classic that used to belong to Pope Francis has been sold for£35.000, well, £34,684 to be more exact at the Bonhams Grand Palais auction in Paris that took place and the end of last week in the city of lights.
You don’t hear every day that the Pope just sold his Harley but this FLSTC 103 Heritage Softail is no ordinary Harley at all. This beautiful piece of machinery was signed and blessed by Pope Emeritus Benedict and later by Pope Francis as it was in the property of the Vatican.
All the money gained from the selling went to a Polish charity named Stowarzyszenie Przyjazny Świat Dziecka. Friendly World Association for the non-Polish speaking audience here.
The model in cause is a 110th anniversary edition of the Harley Davidson brand and the Pope himself blessed and signed the bike. We don’t know if Pope Francis actually rode the bike but it would have been quite a site if he did. The bidder that offered £34,684(€46,000) also purchased in 2014 at the same Bonhams Grand Palais auction a 1,585cc Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide that used to belong to the Pope as well. God Speed!
