BMW is working on a new motorcycle based on the S1000RR inline four engine. According to the spy photos, it will be a direct rival to Ducati Multistrada 1200.
The thing we know is that the new motorcycle will have the performance figures of S1000R and probably the confortable riding position of R1200GS. In fact, it looks like an adventure-sport-touring bike, a rival to Ducati Multistrada 1200, according to the photos published by asphalt&rubber. We are not sure about the name of the new motorcycle, so we’ll call it S1000F until BMW reveals more details.
Looking at the photos, we realize that the motorcycle will have an upside-down fork instead of the telelever and a 17inch wheel. So, even if is has an adventure-based riding position it will be sporty enough to handle every corner on the tarmac.
There are no rumours about the date BMW will launch the new motorcycle, but we could see it until the EICMA 2014 in Milan.
