There is a new cornering ABS available on the market. The system was created by Continental and will be fitted to the new BMW S1000XR.
It’s been a year since Bosch first revealed the MSC System created for KTM 1190 Adventure R. It was the first ABS system that included the leaning angle and other similar parameters for efficient and safer braking in the corners. After a while, BMW Motorrad announced a similar system available for HP4, also created with Bosch.
But it seems that Bosch is facing a challenger. Continental will present a similar system that will fit the new S1000XR. According to Continental, the system monitors roll, pitch, lateral acceleration and lean angle about 100 times per second to provide stability when braking hard.
